This article talks about the struggles of selling your graphic design and overcoming them

Sometimes selling your work you consider art is hard. Designers revering their work, find it hard to find to put a price on their work. Art is part of their soul. It is dreams emerging from a part of ourselves, a way to communicate with the deeper self of both the artist and others. The same piece invokes different emotions depending on the person, their mood, their time of life. Art is pictures; art is sculpture; art is the creative word; art is music. We are all artists in our various ways, all born to be creative.

The need of survival pushes them into the brutal world of money and design. Purely decorative, collectable objects have exploded on social media in recent years, and designer-makers are jumping on the bandwagon. People are usually willing to pay more for unique or limited-edition products. But enough about making products. How do you sell them?

There are sales strategies that we can use for designing work just mention how important it is to have a good relation with the present clients or the past clients as well because customer relationship. One of the sales strategy one can look for as customer relationship focus on the two points:

Client Acquisition- Gaining more customer will eventually result in making your designs marketable. And you gain more customer if the past clients had a good experience with you and will recommend you to someone else.

Client Retention- means the client continues to reach us for the services and this will happen only when they like the product and the service.
Therefore one of the sales strategy can be the relationship with the customer as this will automatically help in increase of sales.

There’s another sales strategy that we can use in connecting with the clients.
To be more specific, while connecting to the prospect the client should feel less guarded and should open up to us. In order to do that , suppose if we reached out a client via phone we should observe how the person is talking is us and we should mirror him in the same way as a response. We should actually have kind of similar tone as of the client. This helps the client to open up more to us.

In conclusion, sometimes your work matter and sometimes your networking matters. Either way if you want to sell design you are going to have to breathe, revere and immerse yourself in the design world!
